Sirkeci is the neighborhood in the immediate vicinity of Sirkeci Train Station. Trains departing for destinations in Europe leave from Sirkeci. This was once the eastern terminus of the Orient Express, so it has some history behind it. The station itself would be rather handsome if they cleaned it up a bit.

It's a dance theater that has daily performance held in a restored 550 years old Turkish bath. I had a chance to see The Mevlevi Sema Ceremony or swirling dance, which unfortunately couldn't be photographed. Throughout one hour, I got to see the five men swirling around reflecting their love to the Divine. Amazing!

If you don't already think Istanbul is super-cool, just from the street style, architecture and tremendous views, a visit to the Istanbul Modern should seal the deal.
