Hey Freddy, the Uffizi is such a must that I'm going to second Liza's reco. To eat in Florence you MUST try chianina beef.

Great place for excellent home-made pasta.

And yes, you really do need to go to the Uffizi like the ladies said.

Loved this hotel. Cute from the outside, clean and efficient on the inside, and a great location - centralized, but in a little cul-de-sac kinda space.

I thought this place was great, location and cuteness-wise. I also found a decent rate when we went.

It might be a little more stressful and requires more work on your end, but booking an apartment in Florence is a great way to stay in the city. When I went to Florence I stayed in an apartment about 2-3 blocks from the duomo. I got to meet a few locals who grew accustom to seeing me wander about the neighborhood and needless to say I left Florence after making a few new Italian friends.
