Set on a small peninsula in the Lago Peten Itza, Flores is best known as the service town for the ruins at Tikal, but is also a place worth visiting in its own right. With some gorgeous (and colorful) colonial architecture, and a number of good guesthouses, restaurants and cafes, it's one of the country's most atmospheric stop-offs, best appreciated lakeside with a cold cerveza Gallo.

Lazy town on an small island. It is a popular destination for tourists planning on visiting nearby Tikal. There are plenty of hostels, hotels, and places to drink and eat. It is not the most exciting place, but it is good for relaxing with a drink and watching the sunset over the lake.

Tikal is one of the largest archaeological sites and urban centres of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization. take a guide their and the visit will be much more interesting.
Los amigos is the best hostel in town but you have to reservate or you wont get any room..
