The flower arrangements are stunning - with rainbow waves and themed designs, the fields in Carlsbad draw more visitors (and bees) each season than Legoland! They are artfully arranged and lovingly maintained; take a guided tour or tractor ride across the 50 acres of blooming buds and take it all in. Don't forget to tear your eyes from the splash of color to marvel at the view of the Pacific Ocean, of which you have a front row view.

GORGEOUS! BREATH TAKING!
Words can't do justice, you just need to go see it yourself.
Tip: Do not ware sandals because the sand will get into the bottom of your feet. Bring your wallet and be prepare to shop at the outlet next door.

One of nature's wonders right in our backyard, the Carlsbad Flower Fields are a must see! Children and adults will enjoy the 50 acres of extraordinary color in bloom on a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with a special nursery, garden, gift shop by Armstrong Garden Centers, and different festivals and throughout the blooming season which is April through Mother's Day in early May. Take a wagon ride, visit the Orchid greenhouse or the artist gardens, make your sway through the sweet pea maze or the carlsbad mining set-up. For the first time in over 15 years, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch has changed its color pattern the 2013 season. Designed by a professional colorist, the 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers will cascade down the hillside in a spectacular display of colors sure to take your breath away. Tickets are $11 or less, the season is short so be sure to visit while the flowers are in bloom!

Visit Spring time!!! Fabulus!!!
Normally, it's $11 for adults and $9 for kids. Found a $2 discount at a local magazine guide and gave each one of us a $2 off each ticket, awesome!
If you're a lazy person not into walking, grab a seat at big truck ride for $5.
All the ranunculus opened up while we were there. They're so beautiful! I love the place so much!

Minus a star because it's empty half the year, but when the flowers are blooming, it's a wondrous sight.
It's a great way to spend some time away from Legoland. There's even a garden center nearby for those inspired to plant their own!
