We sat inside near the bar (and the forge) which was good for a chilly night, but the blaring televisions over the bar ruined the ambiance of an otherwise charming and historic place. The outdoor garden is nestled among trees and shrubbery with some tables nearly enclosed by nature -- the twinkling lights added pure magic, so we'll dress warmly next time and plan to sit outside. The short ribs and truffle gnocchi were very good. Definitely go for the signature dessert -- choc chip cookie baked fresh in a skillet and topped with ice cream and whipped cream.

We heard about this place from a couple if different people, so we gave it a try. It is a nice break from the super touristy places on Ocean, with a menu that blends american comfort good with some interesting twists. Don't miss the chocolate chip cookie in a skillet with ice cream dessert. Delicious.Recommended for:

VERY good food... much higher quality than you might suspect from the funky decor.. And there's a doggie menu - they welcome dogs in one of their outdoor areas and will bring a menu just for the pooch! Great place - kids, adults, dogs all love this place.Recommended for:

Wrought iron decor, low brick ceilings, stone firepits ... this place is practically medieval. But it's also Carmel, so there is patio seating just for dogs (and their owners), a low-carb menu and all kinds of pasta, pizza and sandwiches. If you've got a private party, you can rent out the King Arthur room.

Carmel is known to be a very dog friendly town, and this restaurant knows how to take care of it's furry friends. There's a beautiful outdoor garden patio that on it's own is very lovely, but what makes it really great is that your dog can enjoy it too! They even have a specialized menu just for canines!
