Fort Mason is a cool place for special events, like car shows and Halloween parties. Since the fort has multiple buildings and large spaces, it's an ideal location for conventions and other events like good truck days.

Fort Mason, a decommisioned army post, is perhaps the most eclectic, most active, and most scenic of all recreation areas in San Francisco....all at the same time.
Most eclectic because on any day, multiple different events could be happening...concurrently! Like a wine event, art exhibition, chocolate salon, outlet shopping, concerts, popup marketing parties, sporting expos, and on and on.
Most active because it is an ongoing venue for SF's off the grid food gathering, weekly farmers market, bike rentals, onsite book stores, museums, cafes and restaurants, and on and on.
Most scenic...well the location speaks for itself. It itself is a historical landmark located right on the waters. Vintage points here include: the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, Angel Island, Fisherman's Wharf, and more.
This is the place to be for fireworks viewing and fleetweek festivities. What a destination for both tourists and locals alike!
