There’s a reason why NBA teams chose to stay at the Four Seasons when they’re in town. The hotel’s rooms are large with big beds and have a larger-than-usual desk. There’s also plenty to do at the hotel, which has a 24/7 business center, a fitness area, and pool. Both the fitness area and gym have touches of luxury to them. Water in the gym has lemon and lime wedges in it, quite a nice touch. And the pool, though only 4-feet deep, has an amazing view of the Public Garden. Plus, neither the nearby Ritz or W have a pool. One the negative side, I wasn’t impressed by either the bathroom or closet in the rooms; they’re both on the small side, especially for a marquee hotel like the Four Seasons.

One of the most prominent hotels in downtown Boston and it’s certainly jammed with luxuries. The amenities for each room are impressive: robes, soaps, safes, even umbrellas (these may be indispensable if you come between February and May). The restaurant has a nice rotating menu with a bunch of different seasonal specials and is open late. The location is clearly this hotel’s big selling point, as it’s literally right across from Boston Common and very close to the theatre district and other major attractions. Views are either of the common or the statue-laden courtyard, not bad either way. The fitness center wraps around a whole floor and is especially large, clean and well-stocked. There are personal trainers available as well if you so desire. Make sure you book far ahead of your visit as they’re consistently busy, sometimes with local athletes if legend is to be believed.

This property is all that you would expect of a Four Seasons and is in an excellent location. The interior design was more modern than I had expected and the views of the park are lovely.

The staff at the property are very welcoming, friendly and attentive. This property does a great job of being professional without being stuffy. Staff also did a good job of anticipating needs and being proactive.

Highly recommended. Much better than the Taj around the corner.
