Holy wow.... I really don't even know where to start...
I'm one of those people that normally picks cheap hotels, or a friends couch, since I'll just normally be sleeping there, so this was a little out of my element. We went the straight from the airport after traveling for 12 hours, so I felt ungodly out of place in jeans and a sweater and again after traveling 12 hours, I just wanted a shower and a nap. I never once felt looked down on and there was no pretentiousness like I assumed there would be being in a swanky Beverly Hills hotel. It was great. We were a little before check in time, and Jasmin still took care of us. In fact she was incredibly awesome! 2 hours later we got a knock on our door and housekeeping had a gorgeous cake and a handwritten note (from Jasmin, the front desk lady) wishing me a happy belated birthday (a week and a half prior). And OMG it was the best dessert I've ever had in my life! So service, is beyond impeccable. The staff at the bar were we got a pizza and drinks from we're super nice too.
The room is amazing! Marble bathroom with a huge glass shower and a separate tub as well. The king bed was in a separate room with double doors, and we had a love seat, 2 chairs and an ottoman in the living room area with a mini bar. We also had a small balcony looking out at downtown LA and the Hollywood sign. And the bed was amazingly comfortable. Fluffy pillows, prefect comforter. The lights are all on slides, so no switches. One side of the bed had a surge protector like thing for outlets, but there wasn't one on the other side. Seriously only complaint.
On the 4th floor is a fitness center, a spa, and through the spa is the rooftop pool and to the left of that is a little restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. In the lobby is Windows, which is open late and has a little of everything, including cigars for sale, and a patio outside. Through that, or a separate entrance in the corner of the drive way is Culina, and is a nice Italian style restaurant, but it's closed in the afternoons from around 2-6. Both have separate Yelp listings as well.
The doorman is always present and in a good mood. The valets are quick and courteous and will always open the door for you if they're not swamped. If you have an upgraded suite room, you can use a car from the hotel for the day! If you're just in the basic room, they have a house car (a Rolls Royce!) that you can get from the valets that will drive you in a 3 mile radius, or they will call and set up a taxi for you as well!
So it's a little pricier, but it's so worth it! The staff is all courteous and awesome, and not pretensious at all! I was pleasantly surprised. And you'll see people from all walks of life, and you may get lucky enough to get a star sighting every now and then. The ONLY downside of this place, is the wifi is super lacking and super slow. If you go out on the balcony you'll lose it. Seriously, ONLY complaint.

Not to sound like a total geek, but I am excited as all Hell get to report that Last night was my first time ever riding in Rolls Royce.
We stayed here for my wife's birthday celebration and from the start were treated like royalty. The staff picked up on this when they asked why we were in town. While on a short walk, we came back to find a chocolate cake topped with an assortment of fresh berries and wrapped in white chocolate. How is that for class?
The Four Seasons Beverly Hills is as nice as you would expect from this high end chain. From the attention to detail, remembering names, classy and comfortable rooms and awesome customer service from beginning to end.
This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to some of the areas coolest attractions (Rodeo Drive, Robertson Street, Melrose etc). But why walk when they have a new Rolls Royce at your beckon call? That's right, a "House Car" is available throughout your stay and will drive you pretty much anywhere within a "reasonable" distance. And what a nice ride it is!

I hope to win the lotto one day and make a return visit.

This is one of my favorite places to stay in L.A. - have stayed here dozens of times and would do so again. The service is incredible - down to the smallest detail. The rooms are large and comfortable. The bar downstairs has great food, and is a great place for celebrity spotting (have seen Steven Seagal, Mickey Rourke, Larry Flint, the guys from ZZ Top and many others). They can give you a lift to where you are going in the house car (one is a Bentley). The hotel just remodeled their pool area to be amazing - the restaurant by the pool is fabulous. One of my all time favorites.

I think this is an incredibly ugly hotel from the outside, but from the moment you enter the lobby, you will feel completely taken care of and tis is a hard hotel to top, in terms of the level of service and the amount of petsonal attention this branch of the Four Seasons offers each guest who stays here.

The first thing you notice about this hotel is that its in a residential area. Not something I appreciate much, but I'm sure there are others who like the seclusion and privacy. The lobby doesn't feel very welcoming in my opinion. Its very formal and makes me feel like I should just head to my room. Nothing to do here. There is a sitting room off the lobby but again, very formal and not much to do but sit. You cant even people watch from this vantage point. There are also a lot of hotel staff standing around for some reason. managers, security, front desk, concierge, etc. They are all on top of each other in a small lobby area. The atmosphere again, just feels very formal and stuffy. Not relaxing at all. The guest rooms are very nice. Large soft comfortable beds, comfortable rooms, nice light and if you get a pool side room, the view is nicer than the other rooms that face the apartment buildings or condos across the street. The pool area is small but its nice. It feels secluded and hidden in a sense. It's on the forth floor and through the spa. It feels more like a hotel one goes to if they need privacy and are recovering from plastic surgery than if you are on vacation. The gym is an outdoor gym next to the pool and though its not big, it has enough equipment to get a sweat. All in all. Its a cool hotel. Its beautiful and luxurious, but its for people with particular taste. I liked it, I just didn't like it for me.
