The Four Seasons rarely disappoints and this Miami location is no exception. Located in downtown Miami within the tallest building in the US south of Atlanta (tall!), the hotel is an oasis of refined comfort and luxury. Not for the South Beach crowd, this Miami getaway focuses on tranquility and relaxation over the raucous who's who of Miami's famous club scene. Ideal for upper end business travel or a romantic weekend away. I love the upper floor pool deck and the fantastic works of art that integrate seamlessly into the design of this beautiful hotel.Recommended for:

Like a couple of other Four Seasons I’ve been to, this one masters the art of friendly but attentive service. The staff take care of whatever you need, but you still feel like you could have a chat with them. There’s not a shred of the awkwardness that some expensive hotels make you feel. The rooms here have just been refreshed—they’re light and airy and have the most wonderful window seats overlooking Biscayne Bay that I'd love to curl up on with a good book. During the summer, the hotel throws a monthly pool party, open to locals for a $25 fee, and to guests for free. I was surprised at how laidback the party was, even when bikini-clad chicks started dancing by the DJ booth and the pool was full of beach balls and inflatable toys. The hotel has a great new restaurant called Edge Steak and Bar, which does ‘steak lite,’ and they’re expanding with a patio this spring.Recommended for:

The Four Seasons' name is synonymous with luxury and quality service, and the Miami location is no different. While the hotel is located in Downtown Miami's business district, the Four Seasons also offers activities to the leisure traveler, as well as the business traveler. The location is convenient (by car) to many popular Miami areas, such as South Beach, Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. The gym is absolutely fantastic- probably one of the best I've seen in a hotel. The rooms are deco-inspired, which brings in a bit of the South Beach-flair, without the commotion and pretentiousness of actually being on Miami Beach. The bay-view rooms offer great views of Biscayne Bay and the Port of Miami. The restaurant is great, and there are plenty more within walking distance.Recommended for:
