Four Seasons SF delivers (generally) Fourseasons service. Front of house operation is very consistent. The rooms, although clean and comfortable, feel stark and plain (less posh, more utilitarian), which is a deviation from other Fourseasons. Perhaps it is due to the SF location's gearing towards business traveller as opposed to resort/vacation makers.

The restaurant is great and the bar is my favorite. On occasional Sundays or Mondays, you will find me enjoying a duck fat burger with a glass of merlot (part of a deal for $20) at the bar restaurant. The bar area is comfortable and serene, great for conversation with friends over a specialty cocktail or a glass of wine OVER the yummiest chocolate fondue around. The Four Seasons SF bar is the best to show off SF sophistication to both out of towners and local friends.

This Four Seasons is located right on Market Street, just steps from all of the world-class shopping and dining that downtown has to offer. Walk to Hakkasan, the Westfield Center, Union Square, and everything else. The gym is massive, and the rooms are lovely. The service is impeccable.

This is one of the better Four Seasons properties that I have stayed at in the US. Great location, rooms, and impeccable but friendly service. Really nothing not to like. Recent construction means that the property doesn't have the tired feel of of some of the properties on the East Coast. Loved the corner room -- lot's of light and comfortable window sill seating. A perfect stay!

Fitness facilities are provided by a large club located in the same building (with direct access from the hotel). A much better option than the typical small scale hotel gym. Quality of F

Directly on Market street next to some world-class shopping- the Four Seasons has one of the best hotel addresses in town. The main floor/lobby houses the check in counters along with one of the hotel restaurants that serves great drinks. The rooms are very plush as expected with any four seasons hotel. The high end bath products by Loccitaine are wonderful. The hotel also provides guests with access to an incredible gym attached to the hotel. It is a full size gym so this hotel is perfect for gym-buffs.

The Four Seasons in San Francisco is perfectly located downtown on 3rd and Market. Guests have easy access all things San Francisco such as shopping in Union Square, conventions in Mascone Center, museums like the MOMA and local flavors at the Ferry Building. For any part of the city that is not within walking distance, cabs frequent the hotel regularly. The city is quite literally at your doorstep.

I first became familiar with this property when I was a member of Sport Club LA, which is complimentary for Four Seasons guests. This immaculate gym is a 127,000 square foot facility with a plethora of classes, personal trainers and ample room to enjoy your workout. I imagine this is a valued amenity for travelers who need some healthy activity to balance out their busy days.

This understated luxury hotel with modern d├ęcor caters to both leisure and business travelers. The generous staff is happy to arrange city tours for leisure guests and supply office comforts like fax and copy machines for business guests. The variety of room categories and sizes ensures each traveler can have the room that fits their personal needs. All visitors and guests will be able to enjoy the newly renovated restaurant and bar, MKT when it is revealed mid-2013. You can be sure to find me there to sample this city centerpiece (after a good workout of course).

The four seasons on market street is centrally located, and luxurious. The fifth floor serves as the lobby level and the rooms upstairs are perfectly clean and spacious, with large bathrooms. Service is punctual, and staying at the hotel gets you access to the LA fitness club downstairs.

gorgeous building located on market st. the place is impeccably clean and service is top notch, from the valet to doorman to the concierge. elevators are spotless. the top floors are luxury condominiums for those lucky enough to live here. the are either views of union square and other city high rises. or nice southern views of yurba buena gardens. i've only been in the condo units but have seen pics of similarly appointed hotel rooms, and all spell luxury.

I'm a fan of the spa at the Four Seasons (it's called Splash). It's good value for a hotel spa ($115-$125 for a 50 minute massage), mainly because it doesn't have a pool/hot tub (but it does have sauna/steam room).

What I like best about it is that you can make a decent day of it by:

    1) Sneaking into the Sports Club LA downstairs (very easy to do--the spa shares a dressing room with the gym) for a workout, 2) Getting your spa services, and then 3) going down to their bar for the best $15 girlie drink you've ever had.

I like this hotel for accepting a patron like me who want to simplify life, pack a backpack and drive to San Francisco. I wasn't dressed to impress yet I did not feel discriminated at all.

The hotel is at the caliber you can expect from the hotel chain.
