This stunning Four Seasons situated in the fashionable Mayfair district has been freshly restored to a luxuriously contemporary ambiance. All of its 192 guestrooms are adorned with rich wood-paneling and tartan draperies along with marble bathrooms, and state-of-the-art technology entertainment sets. Many guestrooms overlook Hyde Park; some feature fireplaces and private terraces. The Oriental inspired Amaranto Restaurant/Bar serves European flavors prepared with seasonal ingredients on a chic ambiance. The stunning glass walled Spa on the 10th floor is the center of attention in the hotel, it offers remarkable services on its nine treatment and steam rooms, and features superb saunas and swimming pool adorned by striking city views. The rooftop gym allows for stunning panoramic views of the London Eye and Big Ben. Wi-Fi Internet is not included, but compensated by the complimentary Rolls Royce that tours guests along. The service is largely below standard and needs improvement. The property is nestled in a quiet street between Hyde and Green Parks, and steps from the Buckingham Palace, Bond Street and Knightsbridge shopping areas.

Many rooms overlook Hyde Park and, as with other Four Seasons properties, the amenities and service are top-notch. Jen Howze of Britmums especially recommends this as a luxury family choice, because they "treat the kids as importantly as the adults."

I stayed here for three nights a few years back b/c I accidentally left my passport in a curry shop. (Long story.) My brother stays here for work every few months, so I'm sure I got the special little-sister treatment, but the staff was outrageously, unbelievably helpful and accommodating. I arrived while my brother was on a plane and had no idea I was coming; the concierge arranged via my brother's office to let me into his room and feed me. And I will love them forever for it.
I'm usually a fan of more quirky (read: cheaper) places, but I'm now a fan. The bed feels like a perfectly firm marshmallow with mini-marshmallow pillows to rest your head. Every time my brother arrives, they have his favorite fruit and beer waiting for him. And the location is beyond perfect, near Hyde Park, Harrod's, tube stops, etc.
