    Ladurée

    4.5
    90 reviews

Ladurée is probably the best ‘macaroon’ shop in Paris! It is also great for a light lunch with a glass of wine and/or tea/coffee/pastries that are all delicious. The engine of the business revolves around the delicious collection of 'macaroons' of exotic flavors including blackcurrant violet, Caramel with salted butter, orange Blossom and liquorice- Lemon, etc.

The busiest corner, always good for people watching... and acting like you are a part of the Parisian life. If only that is! Grab some hot chocolate sit back and enjoy, the people, the accent, the cigarettes, and the grey skies!

    Le Comptoir

    4.5
    9 reviews

This a very popular restaurant and will usually have a line to get in. We went around 2 and the line was short. The food and the service are excellent. It is a small place but it allowed us to talk with some friendly Parisians about the selections on the menu. They were very helpful and the food was terrific ...

    Le Grand Colbert

French cousine at its best in a great place. Admit that a good deal of tourists (including us) have heard of the place after watching a move with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton "Something Gotta Give", but unless you expect it to be something absolutely extraordinary this is absolutely a great place! will definitely return!

    Chez Gladines

    4.5
    8 reviews

Though Chez Gladines serves basque food, I've rarely been to a place so reminiscent of traditional french conviviality. This no frills restaurant is loud, busy, cheap, young, and cheery; with checkered table cloths, (thankfully) never-ending portions, and free-flowing wine. Come hungry and early, especially if your party is bigger than two people.

    Le Voltaire

Classic French bistro fare becomes extraordinary at this cozy establishment along the Seine. Elegant and homey at the same time, Le Voltaire never disappoints, but the relatively limited seating makes reservations a must.

    Le Saint Régis

This lovely little bistro on the Ile Saint-Louis is certainly on the tourist path but with such classic decor and prime placement, hard not to fall absolutely in love with it. The terrace seats are a great place to watch the sunset while enjoying a sip of champagne.

    Café RUC

    3.5
    3 reviews

Kind of hip and branche as we say in France. Across from "Hotel du Louvre". Overpriced and not really local. I stopped for an aperitif and to use WiFi. I didn't see a French soul in there, only tourists. With so many cafe and Brasseries in Paris, it's almost a sin to stop there...Keep walking
