    Le Grand Colbert

    8 reviews

One of my favourite French bistros. Beautiful art nouveau period interior, good food and a healthy wine line. It's tucked away right behind the Palais Royale in the 1st arr. And to add a little star factor, it's where they filmed the final scenes in "Something Has to Give" with Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton.

Good Alsatian food. Large portions, tasty charcuterie, good service. Also a nice selection of beers that pair well with the food.

    Le Cafe Marly

    8 reviews

Despite the sometimes spotty service, Cafe Marly is still a favorite standby, especially for dining with visitors. The slightly predictable Costes brothers menu has something for everyone and offers everything from Foie Gras to cheeseburgers, (but no French fries), making this is a good place to go with a group and a safe bet with children. The view from the ...

    Chez Gladines

    8 reviews

Really good french Basque restaurant! The salads are amazing, so big, and it's not a diet salad at all. heheheheh It's really cheap. I advice you to arrive early because there is always so much line. A lot of students goes there because of the low price. The potatos are delicious too.

    404 (Le)

    7 reviews

Had American Thanksgiving here, and it couldn't have been any further from what was going on at home in NYC (in the best way)! :) Moroccan, tagine, shared tables, loud music, great ambiance, belly dancers...the food is decent to good, service is ok to less than ok, but you go here for the fun and the place is gorgeous.

    Mariage Frères

    8 reviews

I love the Mariages Freres packaging and even the tea bags are pretty, but the real reason to love this brand is the incredibly high quality of their teas and the thoughtfully designed teapots.

    Refuge des Fondues

    6 reviews

Good place for oil or cheese fondu! Unlimited bread for dipping and if you order meat there is so much you will not finish. They serve wine in baby bottles with nipples and everything, not sure why, just the way the place is. It's set up family-style and the ladies have to hop over the table; no matter what they ...

    Le Ciel de Paris

    6 reviews

The best place to enjoy an incredible view of paris is at dusk, over a coffee, by the window at ciel de paris. Catch a great sunset, spot the sights you've been to and watch the city lights come on.

    Pierre Hermé

In my opinion Pierre Hermé makes the BEST macarons! Im in love with the Mogador macaron which mixes creamy milk chocolate with passion fruit! All of the macarons are delicious and combine exotic and surprising ingredients. A real treat is buying a few (or a box) on a sunny day and enjoying them in the Jardin de Tuileries just down ...

    Brasserie Lipp

    6 reviews

    5 reviews

A bohemian hole in the wall serving delicious vegetarian food at totally acceptable prices. Although not a vegetarian myself, I enjoy eating sans la carne. I hate when vegetarianism becomes eating as duty/self-righteous penance. Au Grain de Folie did a great job of making me feel treated, tempted, and satisfied, both physically and aesthetically.

    Fauchon

God made the world in six days and rested on the seventh. Why not regale yourself with six types of chocolate and take a break for a day? This is one of multiple options and "gourmet temptation" found at Fauchon.
