Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center

Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center

    Class:
    6 reviews
Good! - 77% of guests recommend

The Sheraton Hotel-Frankfurt Airport is the home of sock basketball. A friend and I stayed here when our flight arrived too late to make a connection home. Rather than trek all the way into the city, we just made our way through customs and into the lobby of the hotel without even stepping outside. The hotel is just what you ...

    Frankfurt Hostel

Fair - 73% of guests recommend

Lets face it...Frankfurl is expensive! I chose this hostel because it was inexpensive, had free wifi and was close to the main train station. It wasn't bad at all. The location was great because it is literally in front of the Main Rail Station. Frankfurt is a relatively compact city so this was a great place to be to explore ...

    Class:

Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

The Westin Grand made for a fantastic stay in Frankfurt. The hotel itself is absolutely enormous and I found the rooms to be quite comfortable. It's in a main area so it's easy to walk outside and find something to do or to eat. Even better were the classic cars in the lobby. I'm not sure if they're always there ...

Got a great internet deal to stay here for my birthday weekend. A bit outside the center but lots of good transportation links. Absolutely great hotel to stay in the night before flying out of Frankfurt. Staying here as a tourist might be a drag as there isn't anything terribly interesting ...

Frankfurt Hotel Insider
Frankfurt, Germany, is not only politically, historically, and economically significant, but it is also a thriving cultural center, offering both visitors and those who call it home a wealth of activities from which to choose. Moreover, Frankfurt is widely considered the gateway to Europe, as the Frankfurt Airport is one of the busiest international airports in the world, and Frankfurt Central Station is the busiest train junction for the continental German railway company, Deutsche Bahn. As such, hotels in Frankfurt are plentiful and varied, offering everything from luxury accommodations to backpacker hostels.

Frankfurt Hotels
As one of the biggest hubs in Europe, there is a long list of hotels suitable for business travelers in Frankfurt. Indeed, the top choice for convention guests is the Marriott Hotel Frankfurt, just a short walk from Frankfurt Central Station and a 12-minute cab ride from the airport. You’ll be treated in high-class American style, but the meeting rooms, business facilities, and proximity to transportation can’t be beat. For a little more authenticity try the Meininger Hotel, a playfully travel-themed accommodation, or Excelsior Hotel, which is located literally steps away from the train station and offers free WiFi, a free business center, and conference rooms.

For students and budget travelers, Frankfurt also has its share of cheap hotels and backpacker hostels. Frankfurt Hostel is right next to the train station and offers free breakfast and WiFi in a French apartment style complex. Another great option is the trendy, low-budget German Motel One brand, of which there are three in Frankfurt alone. Try the venues near Frankfurt Airport, Frankfurst-Messe, or the East Side, all of which offer proximity to popular city locations, stimulating interior design, and tourist-friendly service.

Things To Do
Frankfurt is rich with history and culture, filled with museums and art galleries in a compact city center. St. Paul’s Church, or Paulskirche, is a popular stop for visitors and shares real estate with Römer, Frankfurt’s City Hall for over 600 years and its most important landmark. Set up camp at nearby Savoy Hotel, where you can go for a dip in the top-story swimming pool, or Maritim Hotel, where you can feast on Arabic and Mediterranean cuisine. From here, you’re also not far from Main Tower, the iconic 56-story skyscraper that dominates the skyline, and Frankfurt Zoo, which is a mere 10-minute ride by public transportation.

The city is also known for its festivals; nearly every weekend and during the warm months, Frankfurt lights up with festivals at the Zeil, an outdoor shopping strip. When you’re finished with the festival crowds or touring the Frankfurt Opera House (Alte Oper), head in to Innside Frankfurt Eurotheum, where you can enjoy a piano bar or marvel at the city lights from the glass elevators.

And don’t miss Old Sachsenhausen, the hub of nightlife, filled with clubs, bars, and restaurants for night-owls. Here, you can stay in the historic Hotel Gerbermühle, Hotel Cult, or the immensely fun and trendy 25hours Hotel by Levi’s, a stylish hotel where you can rent a bike or sip a drink on their city-view rooftop terrace.
