Great place anytime of the day. Servers are awesome. No matter what time of the day you get the same great service. The food is great from a regular grilled cheese too a smoked brisket, you can't go wrong it's all yum! Don't forget dessert!

Coming in at 2:00am in the mood for breakfast, this was just the cure.
After a great night we wanted to finish off and soak up the alcohol with some breakfast, and Fred 62 fit the bill with a combo of being a 24 hour venue as well as convenient..
We check out the place and of course have to read the story about Fred in back of the menu (must read)
We ordered the breakfast burrito with is huge in itself. But that with a combo of ice tea or coke, your good to go.
Service is great and you leave full and ready to crash out at your pad..

I love that if I want some late night dinner or dessert I don't have to drive all the way to Alhambra or Rosemead for my meals. Fred 62 is a hop, skip, and a jump away from Griffith Park and is open 24/7. You don't need reservations to dine here so just stop by at all hours of the day/night.
A lot of people come here for their huge serving of waffles with whipped cream. I think it is a bit too much sweetness, but if I were to share with 3 other people then it would be just right. I liked their spaghetti and meatballs (came with 5 meatballs), which came with freshly grated cheese. We were able to ask for extra cheese with no issue.
Parking sucks in this area so if you're not patient and don't like paying for metered parking, you shouldn't come here!

how can you hate a place that has servers wearing hilarious shirts and have something called mac daddy and cheese balls? i admit i had ambivalent feelings towards them before but now that im not always there after an angry drunken night, i actually miss that place. it's always open, and if you're on the east side of town, it's a good diner option. we have swingers on the west side.

I really used to love this 24 hour dinner. It's got a great location right on Vermont and they have a really huge menu. I had an incident with a salad here years ago, and the staff were really nice about it and offered to replace it with anything else from the menu, but I just haven't been able to eat here since. I do remember their Tokyo Soba noodles were really good. I guess I should just avoid the salads.

I love Fred 62! nestled on one of the few streets where you can actually see residents walking around and mingling with other humans in this city, hip Vermont Ave. There's outdoor seating but inside is a kitschy old-school diner feeling, with enough waiters with tattoo's and skinny jeans to make you feel like you're in san francisco! I love Alice's Egg Sandwich, with goat cheese, avocado and eggs on a bun! There's also a carafe of mimosa's for two that's quite nice for a morning perk.
