The Galapagos Safari Camp is a distinctly unique and modern way to experience the islands. Situated on the highlands of Santa Cruz, this is the first eco-luxury tented camp in the Galapagos, which follows the African safari tradition. Guests can enjoy complete luxury in their tents while remaining right smack in the middle of nature
The camp is located near the small town of Santa Rosa, right in between the Baltra airport and the charming, busy town of Puerto Ayroa. The main lodge and tents boast views of the National Park, the Pacific Ocean and several other Galapagos islands. Each of the nine tents is comfortable, spacious and elegantly furnished including full bathrooms and sleek porches.
The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and willing to accommodate requests of the most discerning travelers. Guests are able to enjoy a tranquil retreat spending days relaxing by the pool, curling up with a good book in a hammock and enjoying delicious meals prepared by the camp’s brilliant chefs. Or they can choose to fill their days with activities. Exotic excursions can be taken to the nearby Tortuga Bay, lava caves, endless hikes and much more.
This is a luxurious way to spend (at least) three days and nights, preferably after disembarking from a cruise ship where activities and tours keep you busy at all hours. The Safari Camp is a beautiful way to relax, unwind and absorb this wondrous habitat before heading back to the reality on the mainland.
