    Sea of Galilee

    18 reviews

The look you gain over the Sea of Galilee when you are in Tiberias is simply unbelievable. Palm trees, the Golan Heights, the deep blue colour of the water and the fishing boats make this spot a paradise on earth, by night and day.

Many first time visitors to Nazareth will arrive with the expectation of seeing a church to match the antiquity of equivalent shrines in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. However, the present day structure which dominates the skyline of the city, dates from 1969.

    Jordan river

    2 reviews

Unfortunately the river isn't as pristine as it once was, but you can't visit the area without making a detour to see such a famous stretch of water. I found it best closest to the Sea of Galilee, where it is calm and serene.

    Mt. Precipice

    1 review

Just south of Nazareth in the cliffs of Mt Kedumim is Mount Precipice, the traditional site of the cliff that an angry mob attempted to throw Jesus off of after his bold proclamation in the Nazareth synagogue. The site offers a panoramic view of the patchwork Jezreel Valley and Mount Tabor, especially nice at sunrise.
