I found this hotel to be in a not-so-convenient, but well-connected Porta Pia neighborhood, just a couple bus stops from Villa Borghese and not super far from the main train station. The Porta Pia area doesn’t seem super touristy to me, which is nice in my opinion. I hadn’t expected such modern decor in the lobby when I walked into this 18th Century building, but it worked. However, the rooms were a bit more classic and warm with green striped walls and a very cozy feel. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and seemed to be really organized and responsive. Breakfast is served in a large room with original ceilings and marble floors...takes you back to the 1800s. Overall, this is a good alternative if you’re looking to stay in a neighborhood that is a bit more residential than touristy.

The hotel has an artificial air and coldness that I disliked immediately (I felt warmer on the street). If you have a car or do not need to rely on public transport, the hotel location probably wouldn't be a problem. Take note that it is not close to any metro stops -- three are in walking distance but nothing that I would call 'convenient'. Most of the sites of Rome are in other parts of Rome, and there's not much to do in and around the hotel either. The lounge area is small, uninviting, and a bit dark. There are more remarkable and memorable places to stay on your trip to Rome.

I appreciated free wi-fi, polite staff (thanks to Raoul, Roberta and Joe) and what I call a really full equipped room, even with iron for clothes, and above all, very clean.
Right in the centre of Rome, but in a quiet area, it is very close to Termini train station and Via Veneto.
