Gare du Nord

It was definitely busy when I arrived and when I left. I loved the old style schedule board with the little panels flipping/changing. I was actually meeting a tour group here, so pretty much after I got off the train, I found the tour guide and headed off with them, so I didn't really have to navigate much on my ...

This restaurant has been serving simple French cuisine for over 100 years. Steak, duck, and wine are listed on their menu. And at reasonable prices! Most of their main dishes are priced at around 10 Euros. If you are looking for some history in your dining experience, I would definitely recommend this place.

Your best bet for veg food if you are staying in or around the Montmartre area, Au Grain de Folie focuses on fresh, whole, simple meals that are cooked up in the healthiest way possible. In other words, you won't find any deep-fried items or heavy sauces in this little restaurant. The staff are warm and friendly and the ambiance ...

15/20; Food 8/10, Ambience 3/5, Service 4/5. Ramshackle space in the 9th housing a organic grocery-cum-bakery-cum-palace-of-organic-bruncheon-delights. An unusual anglo-francais hybrid with some imports from across The Channel mixing it up with hyper-local freshest of the fresh organic ingredients on a menu blessed with a myriad of vegan to full-on eggs brunch bonanza, all (sampled) to delicious effect. There are a few locations around the city. I recommend the one near the Canal St. Martin. It's a casual pizza place, you can eat in their little restaurant, or get your order delivered to the canal. They give you a pink balloon to hold on to, so the delivery guy can find you. Their pizza is delicious with surprising ...

A great little cafe open daily at the edge of the 9th. It's an easy 5 minute walk from the Anvers Metro station. Kooka Boora specializes in coffee...really good coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker but came with my friend who is and found myself savouring my cappuccino. They have a variety of baked goods including cookies, cake slices, cheesecake, ...

La famille is a restaurant and bar on the way up to Sacré-Cœur that is a great place to stop by for dinner or for one of their famous cocktails. The music is always great, although there isn’t much room for dancing, and when I say their signature cocktails are crazy, I’m not lying! They are a little pricey (9 ...

I may be biased because I live close by and go here all the time, but in my opinion this place has the best pizza in Paris! The tiny restaurant is always packed at night because of its reputation for real authentic Neapolitan style pizzas as well as pastas, salads and tiramisu. The pizzas are reasonably priced from 9 to ...

Loved this tiny little restaurant in the 3rd. You have to call to make a reservation but the upside is that it was a fabulous 35 euro prix fix dinner. This bakery and café located near Abbesses metro station is a great spot to pick up a baguette and some pastries for a picnic or to grab a hearty breakfast before heading up the steps towards Sacré-Coeur. Tuck Shop is a cute little vegetarian café in the lively Canal Saint Martin neighborhood. They serve nice brunches during the weekend (for only 10 euros you'll get a healthy lacto-ovo vegetarian brunch). It's also Paris' first authentic Australian café, and with the free wifi and mismatched, casual atmosphere this it's a nice substitute to your living room.
