    Times Square

When I was little girl I remember being transfixed by the lights in Times Square. It has changed so much and even though it seems like a circus the lights still make me stop dead in my tracks.

Chelsea is quaint and artsy. One of my favorite neighborhoods of NY, mostly because of the random art galleries, Highline Park and Chelsea Market!

    Murray Hill (Manhattan)

One of the least interesting neighborhoods in the city. The Indian food here is good but there is little reason for tourists to visit. The atmosphere is suburban / middle American. A relatively convenient base with less expensive housing but offering very little of cultural interest.

Excellent Modern Mexican Cuisine, primarily seafood , but not exclusively and plenty of non seafood to choose from. The tacos here are awesome and better then most you're going to find. The scallops and tuna are top notch. Very good margaritas from basic flavors to some great variations like the smokey spicy one.

    West Village

Ah, the West Village, the perfect neighborhood in Manhattan. Strangely angled streets, serendipitous coffee shops and rustic restaurants, filled with artisanal stores and neighborly maintained gardens. It is the area of top-knotch shopping, dining and celebrity dwelling. The ambiance of the West Village is of higher intelligence, of culture, creativity and friendship. People come here for quality finds and experiences. ...

    East Village

The East Village is easily my favorite part of Manhattan - both grungy and trendy at the same time, it's a great place to take a stroll on a late spring day, find a new and cool place to eat, check out a bar with friends, or window shop at funky boutique shops. The street art scene is also a ...

The neighborhood where revolutions are born, artists and muses congregate, and every other day is a Neo renaissance fair or parade. I have been blessed to live in this glorious hub for the past 2 years and will always remember the dream-like days of wandering these streets. La vie boheme!

Spring flowers have sprung in the gramercy area of NYC. This small and quaint area is full of beautiful trees and flowers especially in the spring time. Perfect location to walk around or have a coffee...I highly recommend Irving place for some good cafes!

Long gone are the artists' lofts (well ok the lofts haven't gone, but the tenants have been replaced by types who certainly don't have to sing for their supper). Alas even some of the more exciting contemporary art galleries and restaurants have been edged out by the steady march of brand homogeneity. Even so, I've still got a soft spot ...

Best Neighborhood in Manhattan! It has everything -- great restaurants, delis, bars. Tree-lined sidewalks, kid friendly space with people strolling about. Lots to do if you are a tourist but it does not feel touristy.

Through the busy streets of New York city there lays a peaceful park. The park is magical. This ice skating rink is in the park but the city line is right beside you as you skate away!

    TriBeCa

TriBeCa is based in lower Manhattan. Despite the overpriced and overrated restaurants, the cobblestone streets, scenic buildings, and location near the dock make it a worthwhile visit.
