    The Breslin

    4.5
    19 reviews

It’s no secret that French fries served crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, are the golden standard. But this Manhattan hipster favorite goes a step beyond others to assure the crunchiness of its spuds: introducing The Breslin’s thrice-cooked chips. These long, medium-thick slices of Idaho russet potatoes are first boiled, then fried twice in a sunflower and canola ...

    John Dory Oyster Bar

    4.5
    8 reviews

I loved this more than The Breslin, the other restaurant at the Ace Hotel. If you love seafood and an informal atmosphere then you'll love it here. Try the oysters not because they are the house specialty but because they are really delicious! The drinks are great and if you happen to go during the spring or summer enjoy the ...

    2 Bros Pizza

    4.5
    5 reviews

So I am staying in Times Square and am on my 5th barhop. It was about 2am when I noticed that Guinness and Jameson weren't going to sustain my bodily functions and I needed substance. Times Square is an exciting place, but everything shuts down eventually. Where the hell am I gonna get pizza? 2 Bros is close to Times ...

    Keens Steakhouse

    5
    4 reviews

One of the best steakhouses in NYC. The atmosphere is very cool with all the old pipes hanging from the ceilings. The mutton chop is their signature (and it's as big as your head and really good) but my favorite is either the Prime Rib or the NY Strip strip with mashed potatoes or creamed spinach!. The boiled baby potatoes ...

    Hill Country Chicken

    4
    4 reviews

The chicken is really, really good but, at those prices, it should be! The classic fried chicken is delicious with skin that has the perfect amount of crisp! The thing you must get here, though? THE CREME BRÛLÉE PIE. It's so good, I canceled a date that night because NOTHING was going to top that deliciousness.

    Woorijip

This place is always busy with Koreans. I think this tells you something. It's got a hot bar and a cold case with Korean sushi and other items. If enjoy going here because it's fast and I can just pick and choose what I want. Please note that the hot bar is not always open. During the slowest times of ...

    Tick Tock Diner

    4
    4 reviews

A great New York diner that's close to Penn Station. I'll meet people here instead of inside the train station. I usually go for the grilled cheese and a milkshake. Service is fast and efficient, but they also don't rush you unless it's breakfast or lunch, when all the commuters are showing up.

    Pocha 32 Inc

My friends took me here on my first night in town. The line was too long at the lounge we wanted to go to, so we came here. Walk up a flight of steps and put your name down on the list inside. The stairs were a little worrisome because drunk people and stairs don't go together...we had to wait ...

Don't let the line dissuade you - Maoz serves up delicious falafel in your choice of salad or pita pocket. Stuff either one with all of your favorite toppings and grab a refreshing mint lemonade to wash it all down!

    Koi Restaurant

Not the best sushi I've ever had but certainly better than most places in Manhattan. The atmosphere is nice enough and the location near Bryant Park provides a nice escape from the chaos of Times Square.

    Cooper's Tavern

Cooper's Tavern is down the street from where I'm often working and I'll go there for a late night meal. The food is a bit upscale, but it's really good. I go for the spaghetti with duck sausage meatballs.

    Szechuan Gourmet

Excellent choice for Szechuan cuisine in midtown Manhattan. Loved the Dan Dan noodles and the eggplant in spicy garlic sauce. Best time to go is for late lunch, or an early dinner. Otherwise, you'll be waiting for a while.

    Culture Espresso

    4.5
    2 reviews

It is a cool espresso bar in Midtown. Kind of a breath of fresh air compared to all the Starbucks that are taking over the city. There are limited seating and they obviously don't encourage people to linger as there is no power outlet. They serve strong espresso drinks and yummy pastries. Limited menu for a hefty price. A latte ...

    miss Korea BBQ

    4
    2 reviews

Great Korean BBQ in the middle of K-town. It's one of the few places I've been to in Manhattan which had a great bibimbap! There's also tons of condiments and appetizers that come with your meal (I went for lunch), so it's easy to fill yourself!
