A Chicago institution. Great popcorn. Just don't look at the nutritional info. I like a mix of caramel and cheese. Even if you don't buy or don't want to wait in line, enjoy the smell as you stroll by.

All you have to do to find a Garrett in Chicago is to follow your nose. You can smell their outrageously delicious cheese, butter and caramel corn (and also see the line forming) from a block away! Make sure to take lots of napkins with you on your way out, though. The cheese and butter varieties will leave finger-licking good residue all over your hands.

Garrett's has fell completely off! I was just there this past Friday and bought seven bags of mixed popcorn got home only to eat some and it was stale! So disappointed I will not spend my money there in the future!Recommended for:Green Travelers

Garrett Popcorn brand needs no introduction. Yes, it IS as good as they say and they lines can be a bear at certain locations and certain times. There really is no one that does a better Chicago Mix of Cheddar and Caramel flavors.

It's like crack, and even in winter there's a line out the door, partly from it's popularity but mostly from the extremely slow service. They do three sorts of popcorn: buttered, caramel, and cheese. Get the "Chicago Mix" of cheese and caramel.
