    It's a great place for shopping and the traffic here isn't as bad as Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It is also less expensive to stay here and it is the home of the legendary Dolly Parton. Go by the courthouse and check out her statue.

    http://visitcherokeenc.com/ ~ Cherokee is a town just outside the park that is run and governed solely by Cherokee indians. They have many native american gift and craft shops. a Harrah's casino, and a Cherokee museum. I highly recommend this tour. (per google maps 1 hour 18 minutes away)

    Great place for a great vacation. Plenty of great places to shop and great restaurants to choose from. A great deal of entertainment places to visit. Music places for everyone to enjoy. The Great Smoky Mountain is a great place to visit.
