Up for some crazy gelato flavors? Then this is the place to go! I had the deep chocolate and the basil/honey/walnut (yes, basil) and both were delicious. I had a hard time choosing though since the range is so wide from classic mint and chocolate to lobster and vodka (no really!). A bit hard to find as it's in a little corner and easy to miss but well worth the visit!Recommended for:

I like to think the best things in life are simple and uncomplicated, that these moments are so pure, none of the distractions of everyday life could possibly contaminate.
This is how I feel about Gelateria Fatamorgana.
It was by far the best gelato I had during my two months in Italy. I liked Giolitti. I loved Corona. Old Bridge was alright. But Fatamorgana won me over with its amazing flavors, fresh flavors and its beautiful location in Monti. I tried the basil with honey and walnuts and the Syrian pistachio, enjoyed along the stone wall in Piazza degli Zingari. The lamps of Monti illuminated the warm Roman night as a couple sat to my left, a family with children to my right. I enjoyed those two flavors as slowly as possible. A dream.
I could not have picked a better final gelato moment in Rome.Recommended for:
