Worth a visit for the architecture alone, the Gellért Baths (situated in the Hotel Gellért) also have luxurious hot and cold pools, and offer excellent massages.Recommended for:

Gellert is the most famous thermal bath in Budapest. Located in just a short stroll away from Liberty bridge. You may wish to take the tram which stops right infront of the Gellert Hotel. Nice cosy bath to chill. It has a total of 6 in-door pools.

When planning to go to Budapest I was told over and over again to go to a Hungarian Bath. I'm delighted that the Gellert Baths were the ones we went to. The whole experience was supremely relaxing and the baths themselves were absolutely gorgeous.

The Gellert Baths are an architecturally stunning place with attention to details. These Baths are differentiated by gender and are smaller than then some of the other baths in town. These baths attract locals and tourists alike and they also provide massage services as well. The massages are a little similar to a turkish bath, but not as rough. The baths are clean and well kept and a great way to treat yourself while traveling.
