Visited George's for a wedding reception. The food was delicious, and the staff was exceptional. The main restaurant and terrace looked so fresh and modern, that I look forward to returning as regular patron.Recommended for:

A very "happening" place to eat. They offer Contemporary California Cuisine. They have a top patio level that offers an AMAZING view, especially on a clear, sunny day. They also have a middle level that's more relaxed and has a "elegant bar feel".

I've only eaten on the rooftop level (Ocean Terrace), but it's one of my favorite places to be in San Diego - especially on a 70 degree Sunday morning/afternoon for brunch or lunch. I've had dinner here - also good, but you can't see as much when it's dark out. It's right next to the ocean, so you get beautiful views of the water and the shoreline while you enjoy your meal. The food here is great and the fish (I had the seared ahi tuna dish) is very fresh. However, it can be pretty expensive! While the food is great, you'll probably be paying more so for the ambiance.

George's consists of three levels of unique and exceptional restaurants that offer a special dining experience alongside the stunning La Jolla shores. On the first floor is California Modern, a contemporary restaurant serving innovative food. One floor up is George's Bar, a more relaxed environment with an equally stunning view where you can sip on cocktails and nibble on bar treats while gazing across the ocean. Last, but not least, is the third level rooftop bistro, Ocean Terrace where you can go to sit outside and wine and done the evening away. Whether your looking for a fancy or casual night out, George's at the Cove has just the spot to make it a special outing,

There are three levels to this fine dining hot spot, all three have impeccable views and delicious munchies- although I have only had the pleasure of visiting two. The top roof level is a bit more affordable and is also a great restaurant for cocktails and appetizers. Offering California Cuisine and a impressive wine selection. My second trip to George's was to the middle and most reknown dining room, George's California Modern. My disclaimer is that this is extremely fine dining, and not on a student's budget by any accounts, but continues to remain the best meal I have ever had in San Diego. With seasonal dishes, creative vegetatian options, and immaculate attention to detail- their food is truly art. There are very few sites that can avert one's eyes from the view from the ocean dining room, but your senses will stray from the first bite at George's. For a very special night out, reserve your spot at George's California Modern.
