Georgetown Cupcake is the business that was feature on TLC DC cupcakes. It is located in Georgetown. Disability access is difficult because of the amount of people that come through. Disability parking is limited due to on street parking in the area. You will need about 1/2 hour to get through line.

While you’re in Georgetown, you must stop and grab a sweet treat at Georgetown cupcake. This business has grown tremendously over the past year, and it’s no wonder why, their cupcakes are amazing! You will get to see the site of the hit television show D.C. Cupcakes and sample their flavor of the day!

Passed by the first time since the line was way too long so stopped by Georgetown. Then walked all the way back and decided I deserved a nice treat after doing a lot of walking...
Cupcakes are definitely on the pricier end. I was really tempted to either get the red velvet or the lava fudge. Ended up going w/ the latter though I'm sure having both wouldn't have disappointed! A well baked cupcake with delicious topping; the one thing that was pretty cool was you can actually see them make and decorate.
Too pink inside for my liking, but they make decent cupcakes. If you need more convincing, Georgetown Cupcakes is also featured on the Princess Cupcakes (or some related TV show) that was being advertised inside...

The cupcakes were all amazing except for all the basic flavors. The peanut butter with chocolate, the lemon, and salted caramel were divine and full a unique flavors you crave for. The only reason it is a four star rating is that the red velvet, vanilla, chocolate were great, but not quite exceptional.

Aesthetically, I love their cupcakes. In terms of taste and texture, they're pretty good but nothing amazing. Their service is generally great and it's fun to get free cupcakes in the secret flavor of the day. Overall I keep coming back and I'm not sure why... I expected their cupcakes to blow me away more than they do.

Ok, I get it. I get why it started the whole cupcake craze. My boyfriend and I split a chocolate peppermint cupcake. We were lucky because there was barely any line. The cupcake was nearly half icing, but that was okay because the icing was really chocolatey and quite yummy. The cake was nice and moist. Very strong mint flavor, which is just what I wanted! Yay!

I know there is a lot of hype and maybe it has changed, but I didn't really like their cupcakes. I bought a half dozen back when they were in the old store. The cake was really crumbly and the icing was so sweet it felt like I could taste each grain of sugar. It just wasn't worth the money, but more power to you if you want to stand in a long line around the block in the middle of the summer!
