- Georgetown Inn
It was a cold, damp day when I was there, but the cozy lobby was very welcoming. I loved the dark wood, even in the elevator, and the parquet floors upstairs. The bedroom was not too large but was good-sized, warm and comfortable.
The front desk staff was efficient, courteous and endlessly patient. Given the weather, I was glad there was an inside entrance to the Daily Grill restaurant next door.
The Inn is right on Wisconsin Avenue, the main drag of Georgetown, so there are countless shops and restaurants within walking distance. And the $1 Circulator bus, which goes by a number of tourist attractions, has a stop right out front.Recommended for:

Georgetown has a rich history, and the Inn fits right in. There's an Old World feel to it. The lobby has a sign in it with weather, headlines, this day in history, and a thought for the day!
You don't pick this spot for amenities. It has a terrific location, right in the heart of busy Georgetown, and it is a pleasant walk to Washington's business district. The townhouse architecture, the stores and cafes, and the mix of students, foreign visitors and neighbors make it a great stroll.
The fitness room wasn't much, but it was quiet, and one can see the steeples of Georgetown University from the treadmill!Recommended for:

This is a nice small hotel in the heart of Georgetown. It has an older feel to it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't still retain it's charm. I enjoyed every stay in the hotel and the staff were attentive and friendly. Great location and nice rooms, although a bit on the small side.
