Georgetown is a great spot in D.C. for families to grab a bite to eat, walk down to the river’s edge, do some shopping, or relax and see a movie. Each boutique is in a beautiful, old building that has a special charm that will make you want to stop and take a picture with each and every single one!

Georgetown is the fancy, ritzy section of Washington, DC. You go here to shop or window shop at the upscale boutiques. It's not an area that I would frequently visit but if you want to know where the yuppies reside, then this is the place to be.

Yes, it may be mobbed with students most nights, and yes, it may be a little yuppie-ish (this is, after all, D.C.), but the cute, historic Georgetown neighborhood is still a delight. With shopping that ranges from a little bit funky to quite upscale, and more cool bars, pubs, and restaurants than you can shake a stick at, it's one of the city's top social and dining-out neighborhoods.

Great shops and restaurants. THE place for twenty-somethings in the DC-MD-VA area to hang and be seen.

Nice area of Washington DC, with several interesting old houses. The center has a lot of atmosphere and lovely small shops. Good area to drive through on a bike and just look around and enjoy the view

Georgetown is one of my favorite sections of DC -- it's hip, bohemian, and unique. The shopping is great, and the restaurants are even better. Georgetown has a small-town feel despite being in a very large city.

Do not forget to visit the water front in the lazy afternoon (during the sunset) and visit the Georgetown University.

Great neighborhood. Fun, hip, lively with the university crowd blending easily with young professionals. Restaurants, bars, and music.

This is a classier part of DC where you can find everyone from young business professionals to hipster college students. Enjoy the stores and bars if you are around at night.

The central, commercial district has too many people, tourists and locals, for my taste. However, the periphery is nice for strolling.

Really pretty place to walk around in western DC. The closest metro is Foggy Bottom on the Blue Line. From there, walk NW.
There are a lot of cool (and expensive) places to shop in Georgetown. There is also no shortage of places to eat. If you turn north on Wisconsin and walk up there, you'll get into the Glover Park area which is also very nice.

It's a wonderful neighborhood and it almost doesn't fit in with the rest of the city. It's like Brooklyn to New York.

Great for shopping and eating. Parking is terrible. Very scenic down on the canal and the Potomac water front.

The shops at Georgetown are nice, , But the best place is the Georgetown cupcakes. The parking isn't the best but it is a really cool place.

We like walking around the Georgetown area. The shops and restaurants are some of the best. Also you can walk down some of the streets and see where the movers and shakers live.
