Germany is really the center of Europe, for the longest time literally split in half East and West. Germany's history makes for a unique blend of influences.

One of the world's most scenic and varied lands and one of Europe's oldest cultures come together in Germany. German culture, food and language have lent themselves liberally to the rest of the world. German castles are some of the most iconic in existence. And yet Germany enjoys a high standard of living and a thoroughly modern, hi-tech society.

First time in Germany, loved it! The sights, the friendly people, and of course the bier gartens. Traveled by train from AMS to BER to MUC. Very nice and relatively cheap travel. Would love to return someday!

Lived here for almost two years and it's been a great experience as a "local" and as a tourist.
Germany is super safe compared to the UK or the US and it has such diversity of things to see and do.
A burgeoning immigrant community also means that you're not stuck with just bratwurst and beer for dinner, but a wide variety of cuisine from around the world.
Well worth a visit or even come and stay for good!

My Birth Country - how can I not love it. All provinces have their own beauty, some more in spring, some in Sommer and others are at their best in Winter. Therefore do some research before visiting. Public transport is generally clean, in time and affordable...and safe!!

After more than a dozen visits to Deutschland I can truly say that the men are stiff, serious and in a dire need of a sense of humor! On the other hand the women are gorgeous.

I've only driven through Germany and stopped by many cities. I guess, since I don't know any German people who has guided me and given me the nice personal feel to it - I'm not paying the country its fair justice to rate it. I heard Berlin is very unique. I think I will like it.

Gorgeous country, it's like a Grimm's fairytale at every turn, particularly around the "Romantische Strasse" im Wurzburg and elsewhere!

I really must go here again. I'm sure that my time here has not done the place justice. But I do like their everything-worst. I look forward to my future trip during Oktoberfest!

I love visiting Germany. Its large cities boast tons of history, great beer, and are one of the last large cities in Europe where you don't have to constantly worry about being pickpocketed.

the decade. Munich's famous Biergartens are not just a college student's dream vacation but a great spot to enjoy local culture. A few days spent on the Romantic Road, Germany’s most famous scenic route, affords tourists dozens of picturesque medieval churches, castles and towns such as Rothenburg ob der Tauber, all amongst serene pastoral countryside. Germany is also blessed with the majestic Bavarian Alps, where hiking and winter sports locations abound.
