    Axel Hotel Berlin

    Axel Hotel Berlin

    Class:
    4.5
    6 reviews
Good! - 77% of guests recommend

Originally from San Francisco, I felt like I was back in the famous Castro district when I stepped into this funky hotel, adorned with rainbow flags and photographs of shirtless muscular men. Catering, not surprisingly, to the gay crowd, the built-in restaurant I ate in was friendly and welcoming to all guests. (Their website proclaims the hotel to be 'heterofriendly'). ...

    nhow Berlin

    Class:

Excellent! - 87% of guests recommend

nhow Berlin is creative and funky without being tacky. Billed as a "music and lifestyle" hotel, it offers several unique amenities for musicians, such as guitar and keyboard room service and a silent recording studio overlooking the Spree. While there are a number of waterside Berlin hotels, nhow has a particularly ideal spot, within an easy walk to the colorful ...

The centrally-situated Sofitel oozes with class and elegance, from the doorman who greets guests to the polished lobby. The rooms are a classic white but splashes of color give them a homey feel. The breakfast buffet is one of the best in Berlin, with an assortment of smoothies, waffles, cold cuts, and cheeses. The hotel is within walking distance to ...

Staying at the Hollywood Media Hotel is like sleeping in a (comfortable) museum, with every room containing a photo and biography of a famous film star. The whole star-studded hotel pays homage to well-known 20th century movie figures, from an Italian restaurant named Capone to the Callas bar next to the hotel, set up in the style of America in ...

    Bleibtreu Hotel

    Class:
    3.5
    7 reviews
Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

Bleibtreu is located only a couple blocks from the bustling Kurfürstendamm, but far removed from it sound-wise, as it's hidden behind a peaceful and airy courtyard and floral shop. As a medium-sized hotel lacking any corporate feel, the service seems more personable and down to earth. The atmosphere is charming and intimate, and it seems appropriate that there's a reading ...

Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel & Conference Center

    Class:

Good! - 77% of guests recommend

The Sheraton Hotel-Frankfurt Airport is the home of sock basketball. A friend and I stayed here when our flight arrived too late to make a connection home. Rather than trek all the way into the city, we just made our way through customs and into the lobby of the hotel without even stepping outside. The hotel is just what you ...

    Wombat's

It's common for hostels to offer stacks of well-leafed through Lonely Plant travel guides, basic breakfast buffets, built-in pubs, and knowledgeable and friendly staff -- but how many boast an awesome rooftop deck with a sweeping panoramic view of Berlin, including Alexanderplatz and the TV Tower? If you're asking why to chose this hostel over hotels (especially in the summer ...

    andel's Hotel Berlin

    Class:
    4.5
    5 reviews
Excellent! - 88% of guests recommend

Loved this hotel. It's not walking distance from the main sights or good restaurants, but there are subway, tram and bus lines running right by it, which makes it 10-15 min max to everything you want to see/visit/eat. Modern and clean and trendy. Somewhat inconvenient if you get a room far from the lift bank because there is only one ...

Swissôtel is an elegant and modern hotel situated off the bustling Kurfürstendamm, a long, broad boulevard considered to be the Champs-Élysées of Berlin. It's perfect for both recreational and business travelers, and boasts some unique amenities like a cooking class room (where guests eat their dinner after being taught how to make it) and a new, sheik library. Grand Hotel Esplanade Berlin

    Class:

Excellent! - 88% of guests recommend

The Grand Hotel Esplanade, whose towering reflection is mirrored in the scenic spree, is ideal for both business and recreational travelers. I found the rooms to be large and comfortable, and for very reasonable prices. There's also many amenities such as a dimly-lit stylish bar, large gym, and restaurant which serves a daily breakfast. Despite the hotel's large size, which ...

The moment I walked into Hotel Artist Riverside, I was greeted by warm, smiling service. The centrally located Casa Camper is an uniquely Berlin hotel, and it showed right away when I walked in and saw a row of bikes available for guests. The colorful aesthetic is as flavorful as the Spanish cuisine in the attached restaurant, which is open 24/7. The top of the hotel also boasts a patio with sweeping views of Berlin. ...

    Ostel - The GDR Hostel

Fair - 70% of guests recommend

Being a Cold War history junkie, I was fascinated by the Ostel, and its realistic sparsely decorated interior, horrendously ugly wallpaper, brown-hued light beaming throughout the hallways, and unsmiling but direct front desk service. The only anachronisms were the fast and free wi-fi, and ample offerings of the breakfast buffet for 7.50 Euro. There's also a patio, filled with sun, ...
