    Along with Þingvellir and Gulfoss, Geysir is part of the Golden Circle, a popular tourist route in southwest Iceland. The hot springs aren't guaranteed to erupt. Nearby Strokkur is more reliable. Expect big crowds and lots of tour buses.

    I was fortunate enough to see both of the Geysirs erupting here. Loved it as you can get really close to them.
