Had a very nice experience. There are several other vendors in this location as we'll, so it need not be "only" shrimp. Shrimp scampi is consistently excellent. A shop nearby made delicious natural lemonade. Taco truck sound good too but it was closed on Sunday.

Maybe because everyone told me this place wasn't worth the hype that my expectations were lowered, but one thing i know for sure was that the garlic butter shrimp plate here was FREAKING DELICIOUS! Want a free soda on the side?? All I had to do was check into yelp and at the time they were offering one. Score!! They must have remodeled since people first started coming here because there were tables set up on a concrete deck covered by a roof. Bathrooms weren't terrible as some describe, but the flies do get to you while you're trying to eat. I mean we are in nature though so you can't help that!
I only got to try one other shrimp truck, but between here and Romy's ...I'd definitely choose here!!Recommended for:

G in Giovanni's stands for Garlic, lots of it! Giovanni's has two locations, the original in Kahuku next to the shrimp farms, the second one in Haleiwa in a lot with other food trucks. If you want toasted garlic sauce over your rice and lots of flavor in your shrimp, this is the truck to stop at. If you are brave and want a kick in your shrimps, try the spicy one, you will either love it or regret it. Eating at a shrimp truck is definitely something to try on Oahu. Just make sure they cook and serve it hot off the stove. It's not as tasty lukewarm or been sitting around.Recommended for:

This place is AMAZING, I still haven't had shrimp this good and garlicky and I had this dish over 7 years ago. Still dream about it to this day. Very popular with the locals and a great price for a lot of delicious food. This will be my first stop when I go back to Hawaii.Recommended for:

It's been a couple of years since I've had Giovanni's Shrimp Scampi, but I still remember it clearly. Great perfectly cooked shrimp (not overdone) doused in a garlicky blend of olive oil, butter, lemon and of course, garlic. I've just got to get back there....soon.Recommended for:

Giovanni's is the best shrimp truck on all of Oahu. The garlicky shrimp scampi here is finger lickin' good. Seriously, these suckers are messy, so get tons of napkins or you can just lick your fingers clean. For $13, you get a dozen of these buttery prawns and two scoops of rice. YUMMY!Recommended for:

I dreamt about this shrimp after eating it; still do and always will. It's so good. For a little over $10, you get a huge plate of garlic shrimp and rice (good for two people or one hungry me), that you can savor at the tables nearby. There's a restroom for cleaning up located nearby :)Recommended for:

Mmm, messy, buttery, garlic goodness. I stopped by on Thurs to try their famous shrimp scampi. The truck is parked in a small lot with tables and monkeypod trees. We came just before the lunchtime rush started, and the lot just got jammed with cars in a matter of minutes. I had the half plate of shrimp scampi and it was pretty yummy. It has lots if garlic, which I love. However, the butter can get to be too much, especially as it cools and starts to congeal. Also, the rice was TERRIBLE! It was like they barely cooked it! And for the price, such a simple plate should at least be edible. So while I enjoyed the shrimp, they need to work on their rice skills, unless they were just having an off day

Whether you're a tourist or a local, this is a must have!! The graffiti covered truck located in the beginning of Haleiwa is well known for their shrimp scampi loaded with fresh garlic and a lemon wedge. The plate comes with 12 large pieces of shrimp and 2 scoops of rice. I like to order mine with a side of their hot sauce, it makes it complete. You might want to pack some wet wipes because it tends to get messy. And don't forget the gum to freshen your breath after. .. you will definitely need it! :)

It may not look like much but this is my favorite of Oahu's shrimp trucks. When I can get there, I prefer the original location in Kahuku. But the Haleiwa one is closer. Garlic lovers will be in heaven with the #1 plate of shrimp scampi, hot sauce on the side. Cash only. Don't forget the wet wipes and gum for after!
