Giudecca is one of the many islands in the Venetian lagoon. It sits just south of the main island and can be easily seen from most areas of Dorsoduro. It is, in fact, considered part of the Dorsoduro sestiere.Recommended for:

Far from the 'touristicly crowded' Historical center of Venice, resident Venetians tend to find a home on the southern quieter island, The Giudecca. It has a very suburban and peaceful feeling. Nothing to really visit here, but the Redentore Church by Palladio and a walk long the fondamenta with a view of the Palazzo Ducale are nice to try if you're not on a rush.Recommended for:

It is one of the islands around Venice. I like Giudecca for a couple of spots: san Giorgio Church, Molino Stucky Hotel and old Fortuny building. Around Molino Stucky there are some interesting sights, including some presevered parts of the past factory that has been destroyed by a violent fire.
