Other than The Brazen Head, there really are not that many late dining options in San Francisco. It's really a shame, as I am a huge fan of stuffing my face late at night. I love being in countries like Argentina and Spain where you can drop in for dinner after 10 and not get that evil eye from the waitstaff or that glare from the kitchen.
Or you can do what we did and walk in at 5:45 and be the only patrons in the entire room.
Yes, I do love late night dining, but there are times when an early meal works best. Globe offers you both. The doors open early and you are greeted by a full bar and a crowd pleasing menu offering everything from thin crust pizzas to hearty steaks and mouth watering pastas. The cocktails are fantastic and the wine list complete. This little gem of a restaurant is fast becoming one of my favorites. And not just because I can stuff my face and go to sleep on a full stomach.
If you arrive right at 6:00, you will find plenty of free street parking.
