no, not the transforming kind but the travel the world kind!
I heard about this pearl of the interwebz from a good friend of mine and had to find out more. And for a long time I have been looking for something akin to this. I had wondered when something like this would be developed and it looks as if my search is over.
Mind you that they are still developing and working out all the kinks but for the most part, as with any good idea, gogobot is evolving to be your one stop be all. I do like the layout and the site is rather intuitive to navigate. I like how I can log in via facebook or twitter. And it looks as if a lot of people I know are already on there.
The thing that I like the most is that gogobot has forced me to remember where the hell I've been. I mean, seriously, I always tell myself that I'd remember the name of said hotel or what have you but lets face it.. the way I drink it's hard to remember where I've been last week. So I found it rather fun to be searching the internet via hotel websites, other travel sites, my friends reviews and as well as utilizing the street level search on google maps. No, seriously... I'm talking about looking for a location I know for a fact I've been.. lets take prague for example and going street level at the Old Town Clock Tower and backtracking to the hotel. I was spending a lot of time just figuring out how to walk back to my hotel from there eventually finding myself at Jalta Hotel. BINGO!!!
That was rather satisfying... though I'm sure I have the name else where.
Sorry, gotta go..
trying to figure out where the hell I was staying at while I was in Macau.

The sweet scent of cookies wafts through the air as the gumdrop waterfall glistens with its technicolor flow. Upon stepping into the marble halls of this Romanesque temple, one can't help but notice the unicorn frescoes painted along its walls. The work of Gianbattista Tiepolo, I'm thinking, or perhaps Michelangelo. Engineers work alongside garden gnomes and the ghost of Vincent Price to create the world's greatest travel website.
To describe it succinctly, Gogobot HQ is picturesque, off the beaten path and a notable point of attraction. But mostly it's a really cool travel startup with amazing people doing amazing things.
Great service. Would come again.

Only been there once. Really like their location in cozy downtown Menlo Park. I remember being in this nice center room and everybody was friendly. The rest is kinda of blur but overall I left with a good impression. They do inspire you to travel and share.
