This was and still is the luxury Hotel of the Downtown was once own by Steve Wynn. You must go in and see what luxury is verse the other downtown town hotels. This hotel is one of the launching points for Freemont Experience.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

This is one of the nicer properties on Freemont Street. The coffee shop is one of the downtown power lunch places in Las Vegas (My review coming shortly). The pool is very cool, only in Las Vegas will you find a shark tank next to tourists getting tan in the glorious Las Vegas sun. Stop by and check it out. Live it up, you are in Las Vegas for cryin’ out loud!

The Golden Nugget is the largest casino in the downtown area, and is just a short walk away from the areas of Fremont popular with the locals. It is also one of the oldest casinos in the city, having been built in 1946.

We usually stay here when we stay in the downtown area. Though I wish they gave free comp rooms like Harrah's they are still good so we stay once a year. Pool is great and the service is fantastic. Lots of good places to eat and drink and gamble. Rooms are decent and good size.

A whole lot better since the remodel. It's nice, clean, and more fancy than most of the hotels & casinos in downtown on Fremont Street. Ever visit, I see the sharks at the shark tank which is at the pool. Has a water slide that goes through the tank!

It's a cold, old hotel in downtown Las Vegas so if you wanna hang out on the strip, you will want a car, or be okay taking the bus or cab back and forth because after a day of being on Fremont st., you're going to want to get the hell out of there. They have Hawaiian style food for breakfast at California hotel nearby and the ladies are mostly old school here. A little too much smoke though.

A good value for visitors looking for a nicer downtown Las Vegas hotel. Casino floor was less smoky than other neighboring casinos and the hotel seemed family-friendly. Carson Tower room had the cheapest room and for good reason. We felt the ambiance and comfort in this tower was lacking. We even had trouble with door access during our stay (we were locked out and maintenance had to replace the entire door lock mechanism). I wouldn't stay in this tower again. I recommend booking a recently renovated Rush Tower room for a little more per night. The highlight of our stay was the pool area: The Hideout and the tank pool's three-story waterslide. Our room rate also came with complimentary buffet breakfast for two, which was decent, but be sure to plan your buffet visit in advance as there was a line and we barely made the 10:30AM breakfast buffet rate cutoff. Free covered garage parking, too.Recommended for:Family Travelers
