Gott's Roadside

1 Ferry Bldg, San Francisco, CA 94111
26 reviews

Generally, I like the specials at Gott's. They make a fried green tomato BLT that is pretty good, and I also like when they have padrons in season. The staple menu items are very good, as is the tomato soup.

Hotel Vitale, a Joie de Vivre hotel

    Class:
    0.14 mi from Gott's Roadside
    14 reviews
Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

With a view of the San Francisco Ferry Building Marketplace, Hotel Vitale garners a top spot on our 'favorite hotels for foodies' list. Its Italian farmhouse restaurant isn't your ordinary hotel diner; their handmade pasta dishes and homemade wood-fired oven pizzas would confuse even the most Italian of mamas. Plus, the hotel is just a stone-ground grit's throw from the ...

Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

The Harbor Court Hotel, I understand, was converted from a YMCA building, which tends to explain the rather small rooms and on this visit, the very small bathroom. You could barely get the door closed because there was so little space when you were inside the bathroom. We did not have a view, our room looked at the wall of ...

On Nob Hill this is definetly classy and what I think of when San Francisco comes to mind. The hotel is a bit stuffy but the service is wonderful! The rooms are spacious with great amenities and it has everything. One thing I really loved is that the hotel has a car that will take you anywhere within a 5 ...

The W San Francisco doesn't disappoint! It's a modern, comfortable hotel that is in a great location for bars and the Moscone Convention Center if you're in town for a conference there. I've stayed here for different occasions (bday, bachelorette party), and both times, and it was great both times! The concierge is super helpful, helping us identify good clubs ...

Whenever I'm here, I feel like I'm arriving for some turn-of-the-century debutante ball, or having a tryst with my railroad baron lover in 1892. I think I could stare at the Garden Court ceiling for a solid week before tiring of it. I had a first date once in the Pied Piper Bar (he got one full point, just for ...

I absolutely love staying in this hotel. It's convenient to many great restaurants and bars in the Financial District, as well as the Embarcadero and the Stadium. The main lobby is beautiful, but can be a little dizzying if you have a room overlooking it by too many stories up. Not a great place if you're afraid of heights, but ...

I've never actually stayed here, but I've attended several events and got the chance to bask in the Luxury. One was the a University of Iowa Alumni get-together that included an outdoor tent, elegantly dressed staff, and an expectation of a large contribution. Another was Teddy Bear Tea with my step-daughter and her friend.

The rooms at the Mark Hopkins are pretty upmarket-standard. Fancy, but not flashy. Clean and crisp, but not modern. The decor is a little gaudy, though some would just call that "period". The reason this hotel really shines is the unparalleled view to be had from the roof. Whether you have the breakfast buffet (I could take it or leave ...

Stayed here during the holidays with my family and it is a hotel with a lot of character. Apparently one of the most haunted places in San Francisco but it has definitely been updated. Still has a vintage touch though. Rooms are nice but bathrooms are tiny, the location is prime as it is walking distance to Union Square.

Don't let the outside of Hotel Palomar fool you with its older looking exterior...the inside looks very modern with their design. I'm told that the theme of the hotel is art+motion. Funky, quirky, and upscale, this is probably my favorite hotel in San Francisco. The staff is remarkably helpful and friendly, the location can't be beat (right near Chinatown), and the rooms are both comfortable and unique (with a bit of a Dr. Seuss vibe). The whole hotel's also green - added bonus.
