Designed by Bentel & Bentel with beautiful murals by Robert Kushner, this restaurant is truly the hub of history in Gramercy. You will find beautiful antiques in every room to complete the overall feel. Though it may seem like a splurge to dine here, it is a memorable experience that your kids will talk about for years. The classic American cuisine that is served with a contemporary twist is worth every penny!

Reliably great and always a good pick for out-of-town visitors, Gramercy Tavern is a solid, if not thrilling bet. Crowded and loud at night, this might not be a great bet for those who have trouble hearing, but lunch is more quiet and is also a bargain.

Well worth the hype. 3 tasting menus in the dining room, starting at a very reasonable $88 per person. (I'm told that the lounge area has an a la caret menu) Service was flawless. Complimentary bread and yummy amuses. I enjoyed everything - in particular, this complimentary dessert that tasted like a creamsicle. Would definitely go back!

love going here when it get's cold in New York.. so cozy, lovely area -no tourists and sometimes its even quiet ( i know, hard to find in NYC).. expensive drinks but they have seasonal cocktails and they are oh sooooo good. Nice staff, food goes without saying- exceptional..make sure to make a reservation!

Amazing food, amazing service. Doesn't have the stuffy suit and tie feel, comforting and welcoming. Whether you get the coursed or tasting menu, make sure to get the smoked trout! The best thing on their menu, never had smoked anything like it, melts in your mouth. I personally prefer their coursed as it's plenty of food and you have choices, where the tasting is set. Their cocktails are delicious, even the non-alcoholic ones (and only 5$??? that's the price of a coke at most nice restaurants). Oh and their bread.... mmmm
