Amazing view for sunrise and you can probably claim your rock to take a panoramic picture. when you get off the bus, walk to your right as far as you can! before the mountain starts going back and it should be a rock big enough for two or three people with beautiful views!

Definitely an awesome challenge. I only did the 3 mile route, but would've definitely loved to do the whole thing. The rim is 7,000 ft up, so on the way up - expect the hike to be tougher as you get higher. Good luck!

I'd wanted to see this arbitrary spot on the earth since I was a child and it was pointed out to me on a map. The concrete lines, brass plate and rustling flags overhead are impressive window dressing for this singularity of the surveying arts. But I also liked walking up the border of Utah and Colorado to the outskirts ...

Incredibly stunning lookout point on a rock that juts out into the middle of the canyon. Visitors get 360 degree views of the canyon. A fantastic place to watch the sunset and cook dinner. Plateau Point is at the end of Plateau Point Trail -- an extension of the Bright Angel Trail. It is an easy 45 min - 1 ...

Visit this room to view old photos of how Grand Canyon was originally visited. See photos of the Harvey Girls, the old cars, trains and I think a short movie.

Moderately interesting museum of the geology of the Grand Canyon. Worth a stop for the aircon views and quick geology lesson but as much a gift shop as a museum.
