Really great bookstore-- huge. Though it may not have EVERY title, they have a damn lot. They sell used and new books, so you can find the same title with different versions, conditions, and prices. Upstairs is a dollar shop ($1/book), as well as a few shops that sell handmade goods. Great place to stop by if you're in DTLA.

I have yet to see a performance at Grand Performances that I vibed with really well. Hey, I'm not saying this free concert series sucks (b/c it's great! And I love that they provide this to the public for free); I'm just saying that perhaps I just haven't had the best luck with picking the right performances to see. I ...

Walking in, you might find it dark and gloomy and that feeling of " uh oh what did i get myself into?" Though that might be the initial thought process once you get to the back- you'll see an interesting layout. A small stage ( apparently they have little people wrestling match on it) and a wrap around tent. We ...

At one time Los Angeles's entertainment center was on Broadway. Many of the theaters from that era remain, possibly the finest collection of still standing art deco structures in the United States. A few still function as theaters. Others are empty, the bottom levels rented to a mixture of low priced stores. Broadway's still standing theaters include the Million Dollar ...
