This hotel has small and simple yet clean rooms in great location. Grand Hotel des Balcons is perfect for budget travelers who want to stay in central location. It is well located for going out, as the bar area in Mabillon is very close by. The hotel is also within a walking distance from Jardin de Luxembourg and a lot of shopping and restaurants in Odéon.
Despite its two-star rating, this hotel has managed to retain its charm and good level of cleanliness. Room and bathroom are clean and comfortable, although you can't expect any extra amenities with these prices. This is a real gem for price-conscious tourists.

As far as the quality/price ratio goes in Paris, it would be hard to beat the Grand Hotel des Balcons. The place is clean and quite visually appealing for a two-star establishment, with elegant woodwork in the lobby and the occasional stained-glass window in the staircase. The elevator is on the rickety side and the breakfast is extra, but the rooms are cute and comfy. A fairly good deal for a starting price of 94 euros/night (especially for such a central location)!

This affordable hotel located in the Saint-Germain area of Paris radiates warmth and true hospitality. The lobby and breakfast room glow thanks to the sparkling chanderliers, beautiful stained glass windows (also seen in the staircase), and brightly painted yellow walls. The style is Art Nouveau blended with a South of France countryside feel.
The rooms are highlighted with yellow, orange or red curtains and bedspreads that brighten up the white walls and bed linen. They also feature a beautiful wood mirror that matches the woodwork seen throughout this hotel. The bathrooms are basic with toiletries provided.
This hotel is a great find in a neighborhood filled with bookstores (2 in the street itself), antique shops, cafés and restaurants. You are also very close to Jardin de Luxembourg, the Pantheon and the Odéon metro station. You can often find a room for under 100 Euros/night, which in this area, is pretty rare!

Small but comfortable rooms in a great location. My only gripe was that the staff were not great at giving us messages from a friend that was staying in another hotel. I'd stay there again since it was so central and near public transportation.
