A monument to all that's truly awful about international chain hotels - isolated on its own piece of land and sticking up two fingers to the culture and history of the area, not least through its uncompromising architecture. Still most of the rooms enjoy splendid views over the Nile and Garden City. There are more amusing, esoteric touches like finding the slippers in your room have already been worn but placed back in their plastic cover to give the impression that they're new. The in-house restaurants are truly charmless - it's like eating in a suburban American shopping mall - and overpriced to boot.
Dining options at Grand Hyatt Cairo include a restaurant and a bar/lounge. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Recreational amenities include an outdoor pool, a health club, a sauna, a fitness facility, and a steam room. Spa amenities include spa services, massage/treatment rooms, beauty services, and a hair salon. This 5.0 star property has a business center and offers small meeting rooms, secretarial services, and limo/town car service. Additional property amenities include a poolside bar, a coffee shop/café, and valet parking. This is a smoke free property.
