Whoever designed this building was going for “wow,” and they got it. The circular building is hollow in the middle, so when you walk into the lobby, you can't help but stare upwards at the sunlit tube of a hotel. The rooms are equally wow. Some of the suites even have their own patio and yard, even though they're perched 50 feet off groundlevel. The standard rooms are bilevel, with a whole seating area to enjoy the spectacular view. The spectacular pool has its own full waterfall and is obviously a center of life in the hotel. There always seems to be a friendly staffmember there when you need help or direction. All in all, a very high-end experience (with a high-end pricetag). Well done, Hyatt design team.

Thinking of a luxury stay, that's your hotel. Rates are expensive, but the service, structure and environment are worth Staff is unique in hospitality, impeccable housekeeping and an amazing comfort level amazing!! The rooms and equipments are over the top. The pool area outside is beautiful. From 5 to 8pm there is a happy hour on the 16th floor (CLUB) with drinks, snacks, cheeses, jamom, candy, etc., at no additional charge. The hotel also provides Ipad (for use in loco) and free Wifi access.

Old style luxury with an exquisite but modern earthy feel for me best describes the Grand Hyatt. I really loved this hotel, it is the height of excellence in Santiago- an amazing entry way and lobby, a deep royal blue pool, a beautiful fountain, and lots of shining brass gives the hotel a golden glow throughout the interior. The hotel is at capacity and is full of faces from around the world. The Grand Hyatt did not leave anything to chance and has included all of the finest amenities. So if you want to do business or just unwind without having to think about your needs than this is the hotel to be.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt in Santiago during the first of our multiple legs in/out of Santiago. In terms of service, amenities, and comfort (of the more luxurious kind), the Hyatt has it covered. I think it helped that we had a room with the most spectacular view of the skyline and the mountains. We managed both sunset and sunrise viewings right from the room. The location is not so close to the metro or anywhere "touristy" so cabbing is the way to go if staying here. It is however very close to a massive shopping center which was a plus for us.

The folks who designed this hotel paid attention to the color palate of the neighborhood, because it seems to melt right in with the pastel coffee colors around it. But to me, the inside of the hotel looks like a shopping center, and the towering elevator shafts look like they belong in a parking structure. In the lobby, there is a constant bustle, made busier by the live music from the atrium. The ubiquitous security guards with intercoms in their ears are rather intimidating, taking away from any familiar or cozy feel. The front desk staff seem always to be busy, but they still manage to be courteous.
Dining options at Grand Hyatt Santiago include 5 restaurants and a bar/lounge. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Recreational amenities include a health club, a sauna, a fitness facility, and tennis courts. The property's full service health spa has body treatments, massage/treatment rooms, and facials. This 5.0 star property has a business center and offers secretarial services, a technology helpdesk, and limo/town car service. High speed Internet access is available in public areas. This Santiago property has event space consisting of banquet facilities, conference/meeting rooms, a ballroom, and exhibit space. The property offers an airport shuttle (surcharge). Business services, wedding services, translation services, and tour assistance are available. Guest parking is complimentary. Additional property amenities include a poolside bar, valet parking, and a concierge desk. A total renovation of this property was completed in December 2005.
