An open, cemented space between City Hall and the Music Center and between the County courthouse and the county administrative building that has been turned into a commons area/park with fountains, trees, shrubbery and a small stage where performers from the Music Center occasionally come and give free performances.

Love this place!
This place makes you forget you're in downtown. It's not the largest park but the water fountain that changes colors descends into a pool of water you can walk on. Pretty neat. I can now say I walked on water like Jesus!
What also stands out are the neon pink chairs you can sit on. What a punch! I took a stroll here during night time and it was so relaxing. I could have probably spent a few hours here doing nothing. But if you want something else to do, get some coffee at the Starbucks (located in the park) or climb up to the Music Center across the street!

Considering this is Downtown Los Angeles, grand park is a pretty amazing accomplishment. It really shows how much effort is going toward improving Downtown.
The park itself spans a few blocks and slowly rises to a fountain up top. There are walkways filled with a diverse range of plants that are defined and described on well designed signs. The park is filled with trees and has both shady and sunny spots. There are also hot pink benches, tables and chairs and an on site Starbucks.
