I couldn’t decide what I liked better about Grand Timber Lodge, the beautiful accommodations and extras or the smiling and dedicated staff ready to help us around every corner. In fact, the people were almost as sunny as the big windows that let in the afternoon light and views of the neighboring peaks.
This spectacular resort feels like a set of villas set away up in the hills and yet it is only a short shuttle ride from downtown Breckenridge. There were plenty of nooks and crannies in this place ready for exploring, and the Lodge itself has its own restaurant, children’s play area, drop dead gorgeous courtyard, full service spa, and several indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs. I personally loved the pool it felt like a private oasis that looked out over the valley that felt both dramatic yet inviting. While this place is usually a timeshare property, walk-ins aren’t uncommon, but you should try to avoid the major holidays.Recommended for:

Grand Timber Lodge has everything you could want from a vacation spot! The staff is friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable about everything Breckenridge has to offer.
There is an activity center where you can plan day trips such as snowmobiling, or dog sledding.
They have indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, and a playground. There are ski lockers in each buildings so you don't have to carry your stuff to your room and back, or you can rent your ski equipment at Grand Timber Lodge, and you can ski right back to the hotel. It's a ski-in, ski-out property! Talk about convenient!
They also have an on-call shuttle for when you want to check out all the hot spots in downtown Breckenridge.
The bathrooms have jetted tubs and regular showers, and the larger units have washers and dryers.

Love the layout. This place has it all and is yet another big resort that takes advantage of the Snowflake lift located very closeby. No need for a car once you get here. Great shuttle service or a few tenths of a mile's walk to town.
Walking around the grounds it really feels like being on a cruise ship sailing through an alpine environment. Multi-tiered pools and spas, restaurants and lounges, intricate stonework and big glass windows showcasing the view everywhere you look.
It's just a tiny bit too far from town to call it "comfortable" walking distance, in large part because it is more in the middle of the ski area. Worth it though, the sense that you're in the middle of a ski area is tangible. You can see the lifts whiz by as you sip on a apres drink in the outdoor spa.
Generally the staff was wonderful, marred only by one Bulgarian lady who seemed to thing she was in charge of everyone, including the guests who just wanted nothing more than to relax.
Lots of time shares here for those looking for a regular gig. Otherwise it's pretty easy to book. This place does fill up though, likely because of it's ambiance, location, and amenities, so I'd recommend looking into it early.
