Just happened to be in town for the annual blues festival this weekend. Lots of fun! They had a street festival with food, drinks and souvenir/ trinkets. Other than that this park is still pretty to walk through, but doesn't hold much entertainment value.Recommended for:

Along with hosting Concerts and big Events, Grant parks main attractions are Millennium Park and Buckingham Fountain. Its a must and makes the lakefront much more appealing. Even have a picnic on the grass but expect a mud pit from some of these events. Its perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle for a stroll along the lake. Come for the Grant Park Music Festival at Millennium Park, Lallapalooza, Blues Fest, or the Taste of Chicago during the summer.Recommended for:

Beautiful green space right on Lake Michigan. It is great to go jogging or taking a walk. I love the public concerts that they do during the many festivals that are hosted in the park.Recommended for:

Grant Park has undergone an incredible transformation over the last 10 years. The combination of greenery and art installations makes it one of the most impressive urban parks in North America.Recommended for:

Beautiful park. "Chicago's Front Lawn" and really gives you amazing views of the skyline and lake. It is massive as well. Every year it plays host to Taste of Chicago, and Lollapalooza. There are monuments to Lincoln, Buckingham Fountain (picturesque) gardens, and a ice skating rink during the winter. Definitely worth checking out.

I unintentionally paid a visit to this park while in Chicago as I was walking through to get to the field museum at the end of Michigan Ave / end of downtown area.
I was pleasantly surprised that the park was well stocked and well kept as the grass was lusciously green and the fountain was the coolest part. I was told the park is well used for large concert events and such, and I can see why ... it's huge!
I don't know that this is a park I'd come to ... to say ... walk my dog, but I definitely like the park and would love to come here for special events!
