Locals love this place--a classic beer go-to, especially if you're into IPAs. The tap room often has at least a dozen different beers on tap; if you're not sure which you want, flights of 3 go for $3--an awesome deal. There's no food served here, but food trucks have a way of appearing just when you start getting the munchies.

Excellent craft brewery with attached bar and window looking into their brewery. There is some excellent beer to be had in Colorado and Great Divide's is some of the best. They've got 16 beers on tab (all their own), some year-round, some seasonal. You can taste each of the beers by purchasing sampler glasses of each and take a free tour as well.

A real locals' joint, this tiny microbrewery with a crowded, raucous tap room that spills out onto the sidewalk has some of the best craft beers we tasted on our last trip to Denver. (But I know there are dozens more brands to try elsewhere, too!) We made this a quick stop before heading over to a Rockies baseball game, and had time to sample over a half dozen brews plus take a quickie 15-minute tour of the brewing & bottling operation on-site. Totally fun & laid-back stop on any beer-tasting tour of Denver.

Not only is the beer world class, but you get four free samples just for walking through the door. (Big samples too, not just thimblefuls.) After that, pints are $3-5, including some specialty brews not available in stores. Service is great and the ambiance in the small tap room is always friendly and cool, with a mix of locals and visitors alike. Free tours offer a fascinating peek into the whole microbrew process, led by hip and highly-knowledgable brewmasters. More at www.greatdivide.com.
