It's actually a very nice hotel, the location is not the best. But it's close to Monterey park and San Gabriel, where all the good Chinese restaurant located. And it has a golf course next the hotel, it's quiet and comfortable. Front desk people are very friendly, too. They offer free parking and free wifi which are very nice for ...

I my write about luxury travel but have been known to indulge in a little bit of hostel action, once in a great while. As hostels go, this one is probably the best I have seen in terms of cleanliness. The staff was great and I would not hesitate recommending this to budget travellers.

I never stayed in the hotel itself. I would only go to the bar. With Moroccan-themed decor, a coffin-shaped outdoor pool, and provocative supperclub beds, Hotel Figueroa's exotic Veranda Bar used to be my go-to spot for after-dinner drinks with a large group of friends. I liked how there were no cover charges to get into the bar and pool ...

Doesn't look attractive from the outside but it's a pretty good hotel. My room faced the beach and it was pretty clean. Nothing extravagant but the location is amazing. Prices are reasonable too.

I booked this hostel for a colleague’s son from England and went to check it out while he was there. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that though I initially thought it was for backpacking kids on a budget, I would also be just as happy staying here—especially for $50 per night! The cute little rooms are very clean, with ...

This is one of the hippest hotels in L.A. - known as much for its stylish hotel scene as for its great service. Beautiful pool area that becomes a velvet rope party scene on weekends. Right in central Hollywood.

Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

Skybar, the L.A. nightlife staple that's found on the roof of this popular hotel, can be tough to get into, but guests of the hotel are automatically on the guest list. That's reason enough to stay here, but the hotel itself is also quite posh and worth a visit.

This place has an amazing rooftop lounge and bring your trunks if you want to swim. The last time I went for a dip a few weeks ago, the water was murky. They usually charge a $20 cover when the rooftop turns into a lounge with music, but get there in the afternoon or evening and they'll give you a ...

I adore this place and the owners! My sister threw her Dirty 30th Birthday here this past weekend and this place was great! AS A SLEEPING PLACE: The concept of this place is that they are like a hostel - where you stay in beds and there is a shared space. The beds are REALLY cool. They are pods - ...

This is a a fairly typical small hostel in an amazing location. The boardwalk is right out the door, Abbot Kinney, the canals and the pier are all within a 15 minute walk. Main street and Downtown Santa Monica are also really close-by and everything can be easily accessed by either car or public transit. The hostel has a mix ...

The SLS is a very quirky hotel. They have art work that changes when you walk past it, they have a modern elegance, but the furnishes are not typical at all. i think the SLS has a masculine aesthetic that I appreciate. The lobby bar is fantastic with some great cocktails, the rooftop pool is gorgeous and the service it ...

This is a great little find, as it's cheap, clean and their staff is super friendly. The hotel is very close to Union Station, Chinatown and Downtown so you can see a lot of LA without traveling far. They also offer a complimentary continental breakfast and free wifi. The parking isn't free, but almost at $4 per car!

    Banana Bungalow West Hollywood

    Banana Bungalow West Hollywood

This cheap and cheerful spot appeals to backpackers and young international travelers seeking a good deal and fun central spot. Dorm rooms sleep six (there are girls-only rooms, too), plus some private rooms with baths in this unassuming hotel/hostel. The entry is locked, though the neighborhood is safe, but the 20-something staff is as young as most of the budget-minded ...

Holiday Inn Express Los Angeles-LAX Airport

    Class:

Good! - 79% of guests recommend

The Holiday Inn Express is definitely further away from the airport than many of the other area properties. And the services are a bit more limited than some of the higher end hotels, but the prices are more reasonable. The key service—an airport shuttle—is included in the price of your room. It runs every 30 minutes from the hotel; however, ...

Beautiful spot. This hotel sits on the bluffs of Rancho Palos Verdes, with sweeping views of the pacific. Convenient location, close to nightlight, the Metro (next door), tourist attractions, and food. I liked the window seat in our room...it was just overlooking a parking lot, not tr city.
