Very Good! - 83% of guests recommend

A quieter boutique hotel within walking distance of Santa Monica, but not part of the built-up beach scene, the Ambrose has eco-friendly, Zen-minimalist rooms and plenty of extra bonuses that are convenient whether you're traveling for work or you're on vacation. Rates tend to be better-value than at the luxury and beachfront hotels, too.

From the minute I walked into the hotel lobby to our hotel room, I felt serenity, calm and peacefulness and most important, safe. The room was awesome! Once you walked in, you need to insert your key into a slot by the door and leave it in there to be able to turn on the electricity for the room. You ...

The rooftop bar is an evening hang-out for models, wanna-bees and lookie-loos, like me (the latter!) A gorgeous renovation of the modernist building just steps from the downtown library in a neighborhood that's safe to walk into the wee hours. The drinks are creative and expensive, as is the cover cost unless you stay at the hotel. Great urban fun ...

The Fairmont Miramar has a little something for everyone! If you're young and fun the Bungalow is one of the hottest venue's on the Westside for sure; open spaces, great music vibe, outdoor bar, just fun, ping pong, pool, beautiful people; get there early because the lines can be long. However, If you want a quieter night, are more sophisticated, ...

If you want a fully Southern Californian experience, why not stay on the beach (and we mean *on* the beach) in Santa Monica? My cousin got married here, and the place couldn't have been more beautiful, the staff could not have been friendlier, the rooms could not have been more perfectly casual but upscale. They've got three different places to ...

I stayed here for my friend's wedding. I decided to get a room since I don't live in the area and the thought of driving home after a night of celebrating with open bar seemed unlikely. The Queen Mary is a really popular tourist destination, which might make you think that it would be totally 100% tacky and cheesy, but the ship itself really isn't. Just a simple place to stay near LAX. One thing though, the free shuttle came too late. I had to wait for over 30 minutes with other guests. Maybe they need to consider to take a reservation or make a frequent route. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast is not included.
